So surprise surprise ... social workers can be laid off. My official last day was April 7 and I have been taking a few days to clean my house, organize things and make a list of what I need to accomplish before that next job presents itself. In between applying for jobs (unemployment requires at least 5 applications per week), interviews (which haven't been many to date) and a long over due visit home to see my family (April 19-28) I will try to be more consistent with my posts. I have been following another blogger lately (thriftymomincolorado) and will post links to her page when she breaks down the sales at Walgreens, Safeway and King Sooper. She does a great job and there is no reason to reinvent what someone has spent a great deal of time researching. In addition to the deals I find, I also plan to post the ease or difficulty I encounter in trying to take on small and medium sized tasks around the house to save some money. I just installed a new doorbell this weekend after our old one blew out in December and you know what .. it was a breeze, only cost me $4 and left me with a huge sense of accomplishment (take that Bob Villa). If you have an ideas or find deals of your own that you would like to share, please email me at amylynn2024@hotmail.com.
Thanks for following my adventures in counting pennies and learning new tricks around the house.
